I was going nuts. I sat down and created a set of flashcards that would help me learn the proper genders in German in record time. How?

By combining visual concepts that convey a gender, like a man with a salat on his head ('der Salat') or a cow with mascara and lipstick ('die Kuh') The whole point is to create crazy visual associations.
